Im Just Curious How Many Readers Here Are Able To Work Full Time Im Beginnig To Wonder How Long I Will Be Able To. I Feel Like I Cant Keep Up And The Meds I Take Make Me Feel Like I Am In Outer Space Or Somewhere.. I Feel Hopeless At Times.

Hi Shawn 2426! When I had my severe attack, May 2005, I was out of work for 4 months. I then worked my way back into full time. I quickly learned that there is more to life than work and there is little need to stress over the company because it will be here long after me. The only med I take is Betaseron, nothing else. I was on steroids until September of 2005 but worked my way off that when I returned to work.

You will find in various articles that it is better for us to work if possible. I know it can be frustrating, but you should have this discussion with your dr. maybe him/her can put you on something different to help at work.

I was DX'd in 1997, I was a full time student with a part time job, I had to quit both in order to recover from my first flare-up. However, since then, I have worked full time, sometimes a part time job as well. It all depends. I do not take any MS medications.

No, I don't take anything. It was a personal decision not to, I also have type I (juvenile diabetes) and did not really like to results in research (and lack thereof) of these medications' effect on diabetes.
