Hello Everyone,
About three year ago I went to the Dr. for back and neck problems while I was there the nurse told me that they were offering every patient that came in if they wanted to start the hep shot series. So I said sure at the time I was a Police Reserve and till this day i still am but I thought that would be a good idea because I could come in contact with that. Well turns out that it may have caused MS. About 6 months after the last shot I started having severe dissiness, muscle spasms, tremors, eye twitching that never quits in left eye only, could not swallow, choking on food, stuttering, memory loss, and the list goes on. So I took my self into the emergency room because I thought I was dying. They do all kinds of test including a spinal tap. The nurse comes in and says you have meningitis and you need to be contained and I'm thinking finally they found what was wrong Right, Well It turns out I didn't have it. So now back to square one again. So then they do a MRI and a Dr.comes into my room and tells me they she;s 90% psoitive that I have MS and that I should get to neruologist as soon as possiable and start getting treated.

So here I am been told I have meningitits now they tell me it's MS. This was 3and a half years ago and my symptoms are even worse then they use to be. I have been to so many Doctors you can't believe it, and all they keep saying is that it's in your head. So now I'm at the point were all I do is live with the problems. I have done so much research on MS and hepatitis shots that it sounds like theres this is some kind of conecting factor between the two but no doctor will ever admitt that you can get ms from hep shots. Well I have 4 friends with MS and 1 with Lupus and they all feel that there ms and lupus are from hep shots. I thought that was kind of ironic that they all felt that way so I found a doctor on the internet out of Millwauikee Wisc who is 100% positive that MS comes from heps shots or can be a contributing factor.

So I guess what I am wondering here is how many people on here feel that there symptoms started due to the fact that they had hep shots. That doctor in Wisc has done so many essays on women nurses that have to have hep shots and have gotten Lupus from them. Because lupus and MS are both autoimmune diseses that there has to be some kind of connection. My best friend wife is a Registered RN and developed Lupus 1 year after getting hep shots and is totally convinced that it came from that.
Well sorry so long but I am sick of feeling sick and needed to vent In hopes that meaybe some other people out there feel the same way I do. I am not sure what I may have, For all I know I could have Lymes Disese as well but these doctors now days just don't listen to people and won't agree to try things to help them get better. Often wondered myself about Hep shots and MS. I had Hep shots about 3yrs before DX. hmmmmm

I asked my doctor about that, too. He says there is absolutely NO WAY that Hep shots can cause MS. Having done my own reserach, I dont see how it could either, really...MS is NOT contagious. Now, if you said menegitis, I would see how that could happen...menengitis is VERY contagious and can be spread easily in hospitals and by needles...
but MS? I would have to cast my vote as no. I dont think so....stress, things like that can bring out MS, even when you have had it, but didnt realize it...for example:
My MS symtoms never bothered me. I remember a year ago being so tired, I couldnt wait to get home from work and fall asleep. If I didnt nap, I couldnt cook dinner, let alone do laundry, etc. I also remember that hot showers made me dizzy. I remember tripping down the stairs, and across my floor several times and it was more embarrassing than anything. Then, I had a major trauma in my life. a death. The next week, I woke up with numbness and tingling in my arm and hand. (7 months later, it never went away) and wound up in the ER. My doc thought at first, pinched nerve. CT ruled that out, and actually led me to Neuro, who ordered MRI. MRI showed legions, which led me to an MS Specialists, and LP. LP showed things which in conjunction with other symtoms led them to dx of MS. (which led to Rebif).

I have a hard time believing that HEP shots Caused MS....but, no problem at all believing that MS existed, and something brought out the symtoms...do you have an actual diagnosis? It didnt sound like it from your post....if you do not, why are you so concerned that you have MS? Even if you did...you arent going to die...as for your friends having MS and Lupus- are each and every one of them confirmed and on meds for the disease? IF so, then you know, people live normal lives with MS, if they are treated properly...
