new symptom - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

Hi all,
I posted before about various symptoms my doc thinks could be MS. I'm 32, female, have MRI scheduled on the 18th. Have had all the tests, blood sugar, thyroid, Lyme, etc, and all were fine. I was just out shopping with my husband. We were not in the store for more than a half hour when I became profoundly fatigued, which is unfortunately very common for me. But today, all of the sudden i noticed my right hand shaking ever so slightly, then noticed it was actually my whole right arm. It was not a huge tremor, but it was shaking enough to be noticeable. The muscle in the upper arm is so weak yet feels really tight, as if I'd just spent 2 hours lifting weights. (Please, I probably couldn't manage two minutes at this point!). Also noticed my feet are different. It hurts to step down sometimes, as if the bottoms of my shoes are worn out and my foot is hitting the floor with no shocks.
Am I being paranoid, or has anyone with MS experienced any of this? Most of my symptoms are cognitive, so I don't know what to think when something physical occurs.

MY major symtom started with tremors. My whole body would, and still does, vibrate. But I noticed when I was very tired my arms would have tremors. If I con't to do whatever the tremors turned alot worse. That only lasted about 2 months. Now I just vibrate. As far as the feet thing, I know exactly what you mean. I have a strip on my right foot that is kind of numb but when I step on it, it feels like I'm stepping on rocks. It doesn't happen all the time. Mostly in the morning. And interspersed through out the day. But I've also have gotten use to it so I think I just don't notice it as much.

I'm so grateful for your response, thank you! For a while, I thought I had athlete's foot or something. The pads of my feet seen thick and itch like crazy--no amount of scratching can help. I currently wear these socks made for diabetics and they seem to help a bit. Now when I walk I feel like I have a little extra cushioning so I don't have to stop as early, but the burning and itching is still there. I wasn't sure if it was another symptom or if I really did have some kind of foot problem. It's just my right foot, the same one that gets pins and needles so often. (I've never had athlete's foot before, so I have no idea what it feels like, I'm just guessing.)

My feet don't burn they usually feel like they're sitting in a block of ice. I do get the ithcing though. I scratch even though I know it will do no good. The itch is deep inside, not on the skin. It's just one of the many things we get to learn to live with.

Yes, I've kind of chalked it up to "just make the best of it". I also get inner ear itching. That's the worst--I couldn't scratch even if I wanted to!
This board is a wonderful thing though. It's great to know I have somewhere to go to find out if my symptoms are "normal", etc.
