Just read my old posts, I see a pattern now..

This is too funny. I never really wrote down how I've been feeling, and I read another post where someone was doing it each day before they went to the Neuro. I thought well, maybe I can just read my old posts and gather info from there. To my amazement I have posts all the way back to 2004 in THIS board that I don't even remember writing. One I wrote even last year complaining of the same things. So, basically for the past 3 yrs I've been having these episodes if not longer. This was a big revelation to me.

Oh, and nuff, you replied to my post last year. You're certainly a veteran around here..lol

bella, it's TOO FUNNY for me as well! I just did that yesterday! Mine was only about 2 months ago and I was amazed to read that as of the post, I was on my way to get a spinal tap and another eye exam. I didn't even remember! Everything happened so fast for me but that must have been right before I changed doctors. I never had the spinal tap and have absolutely no idea what the "other" vision test could have been, LOL! Anyway, looking back on that post was just more proof that changing doctors was the best thing I could have done and it was definitely helpful to look at my old posts!

Re: Just read my old posts, I see a pattern now..

Beary,

I guess this board is good for us in more ways than one (medical record keeping ). I think we are all in such a fluster about getting through it we forget that we actually did it..lol

I struggle alot with thinking it's all in my head, but then I read stuff from years ago and it's identical. When I wrote those old posts I knew very little about MS. So at least I'm consistent in my insanity..*hee he*

Another thing I noticed is reading others posts as well as my own, is that we all first thought we had cancer, some thought they were dying. I think how sad that there isn't a better way to find out what's going on more quickly.

Bella,

Glad you could compose your med records from past post.

Please keep a daily journal, just for your personal use.

As you know with MS DX'd or not are memories aren't as strong as before.

Heck I have to write myself notes to remember what I have to do tomorrow or I will definatly forget.

Wish there was a magical pill for that I'd be first in line.

I had reoccuring symptoms in 2004 and it took the right neuro to DX me.hang in there.

And start a journal.Just one or 2 lines a day.Keep it simple.

Boy a veteran---think I could get the senior discount at 41 (lol)

Re: Just read my old posts, I see a pattern now..

Hi nuff,

Thanks for the tip about keeping the journal. I'm horrible with remembering dates and things. You should see my desk. Even my post-its have post-its. Then I keep two calendars just in case I forget to glance at the one on the fridge, then I can see the one on the wall. It's wacky, but keeps me organized. Then I found this nifty thing on my computer where you can keep a running planner. Now if they could only come up with a program to organize all my kids junk I'd be doing good.

Ok, gotta go clean the yogurt off my basement stairs (don't ask how that got there!)
