Its back again

Its back again that frickin vertigo! Wife woke me up at 1:30 am sweating up a storm dripping wet then the vertigo kicked in she could not walk, this lasted for 2 ½ hours is this @#$% for real. Dx ms a few months back. The bizarre part is the air conditioning was on full blast. It was cooler last night than the last few nights. She starts by feeling not normal for a day or 2, she took her mclezine all that di was make her yack. Any idea if this is a relapse or what?
She takes copaxone seems to work alright accept for the sight reactions get very sore, big (I mean huge) annoying.
She also has been having problems with muscles in hip, but docter says its not related that its got something to do with pelvic after child birth. Nothing was checked on this, this guy does therapy. For what I think they don’t know cause he thought it was for her back. He asked about a c-spine mri. What is this?
Any input or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Scott (wife is not able to get to a computer)

Re: Its back again

Hi Scott

I'm sorry you and your wife have to go through this again. It does sound like she needs to call her Neuro and let him/her know about what is going on. It very well could be a relapse. Don't be discouraged though, the MS medication can take up to 6 months to fully kick in and basically what it does is slow down the formation of lesions and thus the frequency of relapses that she has.
It's easy to get confused when the docs start talking in medical jargon. A
c-spine MRI is an MRI of the cervical spine, the Neck region. That is where the majority of my lesions are. I was just diagnosed in Feb of this year. I too get major vertigo episodes and night sweats, they are a major pain in the rear. Doesn't seem to matter what temperature the room is either, my husband will lay there with multiple blankets on while I turn into a giant puddle of sweat. IT SUCKS big time.

Hope she is feeling better soon, and please have her call her MD.
Take care
KT

Re: Its back again

First off your wife is very lucky to have you, it takes alot for a spouse to come on here when someone they love is having problems

I get vertigo that will last me 1 full week and it will be 24/7. I don't have the room spinning type (only had that 2x's in 10yrs) mine is more off balance, like the floor is moving and if I'm sitting I really feel like Im going to fall over to one side. I agree totally vertigo stinks! It doesn't just affect her it affect everyone around her. But you cannot make it better, just be understanding and help her out in anyone you can.

Believe me she doesn't want it either.........when mine hits I feel like a useless piece of crap. Everyone is doing for me and I HATE that. Women are naturally the caregivers...most women don't really know how to take it when others are caring for them, its a mental thing.

I thank fully don't have the night sweats......my husband would be on the couch if I started that ..... yet you stay in bed with her

Also I'm impressed that her DR did call back, they normally dont! At least not mine.

Just keep her comftorable and tomorrow you will talk to her Dr and find out what to do

Hope
