its been awhile

I just wanted to say hit to everyone, I have been reading the posts just to keep up on how everyone is doing, but at the moment I am moving 2 1/2 hours away and trying to find a new job that doesnt require so much detail.

I tried to make it to an MS specialist but I just couldnt do it before my medical ran out.

I figure I will just be doing what I know I should, like cutting out caffeine and certain foods and trying to be more active. although walking is becoming much harder for me.

I was told by one doctor that my symptoms seem to point to a brainstem and spinal lesions, but at this point I have been told so many things that I just shrugged it off. I did notice the other day while visiting the place I am moving ( temp was over 100 ) that my speech became very slurred and I felt like I was struggling more and more to get the words out. my walking also became very difficult and painful, however once I got into an a/c for about an hour I felt much better and could talk more clearly, still felt fatigued and tried to take a nap.

luckly summer only has a couple months left.

as far as the back and forth I have gotten from the doctors about MS and the different things I have been told by the doctors about it, I just finally realized that yes there are treatment options and yes they do help, but there is not cure and some of the treatments seem to cause side effects that I am just not ready to deal with. so at this point like I said, I am just going to have to learn when to much is to much.

and my hubby is going to have to learn that when I say I think I need wheels to get around today, that I really do mean it. because I am not going to go through what I did just because he thinks I dont need it.

I am not angry... I just am trying to be realistic with it all and just wanting to take care of myself and hopefully my family will realize I need there help every now and then.

but I did really want to stop by and say hi to everyone.

I have been keeping up on the posts, just not much time to post myself.

so please all take care, it may be awhile before I can stop and say hi again.

Nuffs, MsNik, Bearygood. you three seem to always be around and are very helpful to all the people on this board. just wanted to thank you

Re: its been awhile

youre welcome, WorldFlame. Please take care of yourself and keep reading, even if you dont feel up to posting. Keep us posted, when you are able --about how you are doing. Take it easy with the move, dont overdo it. The new place will get "settled" when you feel up to it, just get yourself in there....ok?
Thinking of you and sending you happy thoughts.
Nikki

Re: its been awhile

Ah, w0rldflame! Good to see you! Please don't be a stranger -- your input is valuable and we want to know how you're doing. Thanks for the thanks -- I haven't really been around so much lately but I've seen some of the newer people are doing a great job, too! A lot of us got information from this board in the first place and it's always great to see people giving back. Pretty much a "pay it forward" kind of thing.

Good luck with the job search and the move! Please check in and let us know how you're doing!
