| Re: Question on meds?
Glad I was able to help! Have your wife ask the Neuro if she can TRY Aleve, which is Naproxen instead of Ibuprofin....its the same type of Non-steroid Anti-inflammatory, but a different chemical makeup...and honestly, ask anyone who Ive recommended this to on this board (do a search on ALEVE here on healthboards) youll see that because it lasts twice as long, people are raving about it....
Of course, get the docs okay first...but its over the counter, found in any drug or grocery store, and costs the same as tylenol! Its not unusual that at this point, she is experincing side effects. I can remember laying on the floor crying I felt so bad 3 hours after my shot....however, dont let her give up! They say it takes 6 months for this Rebif to reach full strength in the body...and it only takes half that time for the body to get used to it and stop having symtoms altogehter! I just celebrated a year on Rebif, and I had NO NEW LESIONS or anything bad on my MRIs last week! Things are looking up for me, overall....rebif is a great drug, you just have to stick out the first few months!
Good luck to her, tell her Im with her, and she has my sympathies because it isnt easy for the body to adjust to it...but its worth it!
Hugs to you both.
