well I've been having problems since april and progressively getting worse here are my symptoms : severe muscle spasms in neck (since april never goes away even with pt) pain extending into shoulders and arms burning pain in upper back and upper arms arm weakness its hard as heck to type, facial muscle weakness when smiling or eating ongoing headaches arms go numb from elbow down right hand gets cold frequently restless legs that move throughout body(creepy feeling) and last but not least im starting to have trouble swallowing and feel the need to clear throat frequently. have been to a neurosurg. who order mri of cervical spine nothing signfigant on that or mylegram had emg that showed c7 pinch but dr. didnt agree because mri and myelgram were clear so that is my story going to get a third opinion but appointment isnt until dec. can anyone help with these symptoms what in the world could all of this be its so dibilitating.

A neurosurgeon is different than a neurologist. You need to see a neurologist who is a MS Specialist.

Welcome,

Getting another opinion is a good start.

Keeping a time line of when symptoms started ,where and what causes them to be flaired will help you and your next DR.

Try to see a neurologist,call your local MS society and they can refer you to one.

Get copies of the reports from the C-spine mri and the films also get copies of the myelogram and the emg/ncs.Keep these on file for personal use and you can take copies to your next DR.

December is a ways off try to see a neurologist soon
