| what else could this be?
I have one eye that has gone permanently blurry (it's actually like double vision), and one eye that goes blurry occasionally and then my eyes hurt. I went to the opthamalogist, who did an extremely throrough exam, said I had an afferant pupil, and sent me on for a brain and orbit MRI with contrast. That came back saying I had white spots, and suggested several possibilities, one being MS. My PCP ordered a bunch of blood tests, and has ruled out cardiovascular conditions and diabetes. She sent me to a neurologist. He showed me the MRI images, and said he suspected MS. Heordered a spinal fluid draw, which came back normal. He wants me to have another MRI in 3 months, then suggested having them yearly, and said to come back earlier if any other symptoms crop up. I asked him what else this could be, and he said that in his opinion, they'd ruled out other possibilities. He also won't say I have MS, but he won't say I don't have it either. He wants to continue monitoring, and then described what sort of medication treatments are available pending what subsequent MRI's show.
My question for all of you is...what else could this be? Other than being more tired than I used to be, I have not other MS symptoms.
Thanks all,
Kay
