I read 3. First I had severe headaches/migraines myself was age 6 (lasting for 3 weeks). I was a bit shocked to hear this. Is it honestly diagnosed this young in some cases?

Yes. Pediatric cases are becoming more and more in the news...

The more the doctors know about what to look for, the earlier the diagnosis. Thus there has been an increase in pediatric diagnosis of MS. I think that most of us with MS probably had it as children, but did not really ascertain or problem until adulthood or late adolesence. In 1982, I had only turned 19 and I was considered very young at that time. Nowadays I would not have been considered so young.

Jayhawk, would you say you had a 'trigger' that set your's off and lead to the diagnosis?

I can honestly tell you mine was buying my first house. That's when I got really sick with the symptoms, and eventually diagnosed.

Looking back in hindsight, my footdrop started at 14 or 15 years of age. I always thought it was clumsiness. In 1982 I dropped my briefcase on my way to class. My hand loss got me to the university medical center.
