Dizziness and Headaches

Hello,

I was diagnosed in July of 2008. I had my first event in February of 2008. I have had a lot of dizziness since February. Is this something that is normal for MS patients? I am experiencing a lot of dizziness today and I have pain in the left ear. The pain in the left ear has been happening on and off since Feb.

Re: Dizziness and Headaches

Dizziness and vertigo are common complaints with MS. I have these problems. As to pain in the ear, no. I did have pain in my ear once, but my neurologist determined that it was an ear infection. After 10 days of anti-biotics, I never felt the pain again. It has been several years since the ear pain.

Could it be MS orginating pain? As I am by no means a medical professional, I would have to advise you to discuss the matter with your neurologist. When I have similar questions, I will often speak to my Neurologist's nurse who will find out from the neurologist. When the matter was serious, my neurologist would have the local neurologist see me right away.

Good luck and warmest greetings to the MS family- you are not alone.

Re: Dizziness and Headaches

I suffered vetigo a while ago. i never had pain with it.
the pain in the ear most likely sounds like a ear infection. I agree with Jayhawk. see a doctor to rule this out.
