| Re: Women with MS
Amen to that, Jayhawk! When I feel that MS is taking over my life in some way, I imagine it to be in a tiny locked box and try to forget about it. It works for me.
I'll have to get that magazine, I've never even heard of it before. I can't imagine how difficult dating would be with MS. I have friends without MS who are beautiful, smart and successful who have trouble dating. I truly feel blessed to have a husband who really deserves credit for stepping up the way he has. Honestly, I think MS is harder on him than it is on me, and he's still learning and adjusting. He finally agreed to get on some kind of caregiver support website. I'm not disabled and I can still do a lot, but there are times, especially after a long day at work, when I am done. He has been helping out a lot more with errands, cleaning, cooking, and grocery shopping.
A few years ago I would never dream of asking my husband to do any of these things--he's the main breadwinner in the family, and I wanted to contribute to the household. It can be difficult switching roles like that.
Jayhawk, I hope your parents are doing better.
