Ok let me start from the beginning. About 3 years ago I was sitting in my yard watching my son play soccer and all of a sudden got sensations of numbness and speech difficulty. My brother called 911 and at the hospital they suggested that it could have been a mini stroke and that was about it. Then last may I had a reaccurence of that same situation but far worse my speech wasnt clear for weeks. Numbness in my left arm and a lot of spasms in my leg. I also had trouble walking for a couple of weeks because it was actually painful to lift my legs. For months before that major incident I would have to sleep at lest 14 hours a day, it was horrible. The leg xrays showed no reason for the pain so I was sent to a nuerologist for the speech and numbness. Turns out that it stated that I have multiple areas of signal abnormality in the periventricular white matter (lesions) on my first MRI. My former nuerologist said there were multiple areas but just three she was concerned with because of the size. No sign of stroke or recent infarct. Spinal tap came back clean and and so did many many blood work tests. So in the midst of all that I moved back to pa because of family being closer by and just after 4 months of waiting to get an appointment with my new nuerologist, got another mri and EEG this time. I have been waiting almost 2 weeks for the results and am getting really impatient. Any one have any clue first what it may be and second why it is taking so long for these results, it only took 3 days for the first results.
