Tremors - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

I am posting this thread more out of desperation than anything. My wife suffers with MS and most nights between 3 & 4 am we awake because she is suffering with a severe tremor in her leg. She is prescribed 'Baclofen' (40mgs / day 10am; 10pm; and 20mgs / nightly). Is there anything we can do to stop it?

if you wife is having muscle spasms, and the Baclofan has stopped working, there are other drugs on the market which will help stop them. If they are something more then muscle spasms, then she might need to be evaluated by her neurologist. One can reach a plateau with any drug, Baclofan is a pretty strong drug to take, and that is a fairly hig dose, it might be as simple as changing meds....

She should probably see her neurologist.

Baclofen can be increased and there are other meds that can be added in that might help. Sometimes the Benzopines such as Klonopin (Clonazepam) and Valium can be helpful.

I try to stretch out before bed. I get leg tremors, but fortunately for me, I sleep like a log. If I get my exercise or my legs are sufficiently worked, I have very few tremors.
