Anyone on Nuvigil? - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

Hello
My Neuro just gave me some samples of Nuvigil to try for my fatigue. I guess Nuvigil is the new form of provigil. I am ALWAYS nervous about taking any drug. What can I expect, does it help, Does it make me jittery and nervous, naseated? Any help is appreciated. I am such a big chicken about taking meds.

I was given nuvigil a few weeks ago. The first 2 days all was well, by the thrid day I felt nervous, dizzy and tightness of the chest( more then normal I have MS hug all the time). I stopped taking it until I see my Neruo in December.

I just started it 5 days ago and it has done nothing for me. I was hoping this was going to me my little savior from fatigue. And nothing, I think I could lay down and go to sleep on it. I'm so let down.

My doc. recently gave me samples and I only took it three times and I felt nervous lightheaded , shakey, and sick to my stomach so I didnt taKE anymore.

I take provigil as needed. A trick I learned was to get a pill cutter and I take a 1/4 of a pill in the morning. If I need a kick at lunch another 1/4. I got to jittery on a half or whole pill and when I would accidently drink a diet coke, I could run 10 miles!!!
