Lhermitte's Sign

For those of you who have this symptom, do you find it comes and goes? Mine started about 4 years ago, went away after a couple of months and then resurfaces every 6-8 months, never as badly as the first time, thankfully. Anyone else had the same experience?

Re: Lhermitte's Sign

Mine will cycle through for a visit. I think the first time is a "shock", but thereafter it is "old hat" (at least that has been my experience).

Re: Lhermitte's Sign

My first episode was "extreme" and gradually disapated over the next year. For me it never goes away, but it is minor. I don't really notice it most of the time as I've learned to live with it.

Re: Lhermitte's Sign

Mine came 7 years ago and never went away. It starts up every day when I wake up, before I even move (but I don't know what I do before I wake up ). They go for several seconds and come in a packs so it can last for 10 minutes or more. Then it comes back when I read or sit for a while with my legs straight and when I turn on the seat heater in the car.
After 2 years I gave up hope that it would ever go away and got used to it.
