I had my 6 month check-up. My left leg has been dragging with me. We decided that PT would be tried if it was still dragging in 6 months. The good news is that I am doing well-- "well" as well can be for me!- but the bad news is I can no longer qualify for a power chair because of Medicare rule changes.
Next month my 10 year old starts college (he got his acceptance letter) and I will have to chaperon (He is a gifted blessing and teaching him has also been a blessing and a cognitive workout.) I was hoping for a chair to be able to stay up with him. Looks like Tiny, my service dog, will be doing extra work for at least the first semester. At least he will enjoy getting to ride daily in the truck!
The university asked if I would participate in some studies because of my Med free life choice. I will have to wait and see if they want to still use me due to living "in the sticks". Still, it is nice to be asked!
As always, I feel blessed each moment of my life.
