Anyone here with MS who have had an Epidural before?

Hello everyone,

I just found out i am 4 weeks pregnant which is very exciting, and have always wanted to have an epidural either for C section or vaginal delivery, but i hear that this has high risks for people with MS.

While i believe this to be true, has anyone here ever had a successful epidural injection without any complications?

I have not yet been diagnosed with MS, but have all the symptoms and do not wanna risk any complications.

Please let me know if you can.

Elle

CONGRATULATIONS!! As to the epidural, not ever been pregnant, I do not know (a guy )

You should get your OB or GP and your neuro to consulting with one another to plan for what action to take. My wife had a C-Section when our youngest was born but never had an epidural. (Her water broke just as I admitted her and the doctor said no epidural needed).

Again- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Re: Anyone here with MS who have had an Epidural before?

I've had 3. Of course they all were before my dx. I didn't have any complications. I feel the benefits out weigh the risk, but that is a decision for you and your doctors. Good Luck with the pregnancy. It will go just great. The most important factor is taking good care of yourself after the birth. Have a good support team that can give you the needed rest to recover fully. Beware of the hormonal swings!
