I had an MRI today without contrast first, then w/contrast. My neurologist wanted it done when I complained of different symptoms, and worsening of symptoms. Blurry vision, balance changes, burning stabbing pain in back, numbness in hands etc... Not to mention headaches that are destroying my life. I have two boys (ages 14 & 16) and it is breaking my heart that I have no energy at all. Within the past six months my body has changed I know there is something going on. Not that I want all of these things going on....I've read that, you have to keep on pushing with getting a diagnosis. My MRI may show something and it may not, but I will request further testing; I will only let up when all required testing has been done!!! I will get to the bottom of this. Mostly for my family, they give me so much joy. I don't want to miss out if I am in constant pain. Getting the correct diagnosis is what my life is about now. I keep copies of everyting; second opinions if necessary. I was diagnosed with fm/mps/osteoarthritis two years ago; I just turned 42

But like I said symptoms started getting different, or they would leave for a while, and then come back big time!!! My loss of balance really concerns me. I drive alot, my boys play baseball year round, so the issue of safe driving with precious cargo is also a factor....Now it is time to look into getting a handicap card for my car, because sometimes I can walk into the store, and sometimes I have to lean on the shopping cart just to get there!! The energy level is way down. I take vitamins, and eat pretty good too. Numbness in my hands makes it hard to drive too. I just want a correct diagnosis, and to be able to treat all of my conditions the correct way. Iv'e also noticed getting up from sitting a while or lying down is soooo hard, I have to go so slow. Just some info for you.....
I hope you all get your answers soon. Me too.
Take care, and keep pushing to get answers/action what ever....
