Smile copaxone auto injector 2

figured I'd post in case anyone was interested, I just this week started using the prefilled syringes and autoject2 for my copaxone. I've been using copaxone for 3 years now. I wanted to say that the prefilled syringes and autoject2 are really great. I like this method a lot more than having to reconstitute and manually inject. It is much faster, and is very easy. I think lumps at the injection site seem to be smaller and going away faster than previously. If anyone is using copaxone and using the old method, I would urge you to give the prefilled and autojector method a try.

lumps are SMALLER? just how big were the lumps before? i'm new to C, been on it a month now. the site reactions are awful and every shot leaves a lump underneath. the lumps dont seem to be going away either. just the other day, i tried to shoot a spot with a lump underneath and the copaxone wouldnt go in, so i had to start over somewhere else.

I wouldn't say a lot smaller, just a little smaller. They last longer on my belly than in other locations. I'd say in that location I need to wait about 2 weeks before using the same spot again. They go away much faster on my butt cheeks though. Less than a week. Legs also go away faster. With experience you'll get used to it, and also develope a pattern of injection sites that works for you.

HI- I use the prefilled copaxone and the auto injector in places I can not reach by myself such as the arms and back area. I do get lumps no matter how I inject the med. And they do stay there for awhile and seem to one day disapear and I am left will a dent in my leg. My stomach is harder as I do have stretch marks from having 4 boys. I was told to try and work around them Yea Right. I find that with the new copaxone the needle does not seem the same. It seems like without the autoject it is hard to take the syringe out. Like it is not cut right or something. Does anyone else feel this too. I was once told to ice the area you are going to inject for 15mins before and 15 mins after(OK) and then 24hrs later massage the area for about 45 mins. I don't have that kind of time.

From my experience the lumps are worse if you do not inject deeply enough, try adjusting your autoject 1 or 2. Also you are right, the needles are different, in spite of being the same size, they are cut at a more blunt angle. I find them harder to use manually. I for one have complained to teva marion about this, so hopefully with more complaints they will address this in the future.
