MS study

I am in a drug study at the University of Michigan for Alemtuzumab(campath,MabCampath) against Rebif.

I was just wondering if anyone else was on the alemtuzumab and how they were doing on it. I was picked for the Rebif and have had 2 relapses in the 4 months that I have been in the study, but I have been on Rebif since I was diagnosed in 2006. Just wondering if it would be worth staying in the study to get the alemtuzumab after my two years in the trial are up, or if I should I explore other options.

Tysabri scares me to death so I am trying to avoid that. I just had an MRI of the brain, T Spine, and C Spine done.

Any information could help my decision.

Re: MS study

Hi Fluffy,

I was on Campath (x2) until it got pulled, but I have never felt better since being on the drug. I was on it in 2003 and 2004. I haven't had a relapse since before I was on Campath. It I could go back on the drug I would in a second. I feel like Campath has given me a 2nd chance. Prior to that I was having at least 2 relapses a year and it was horrible. If you'd like more information from me please don't hesitate to message me. Good luck in your decision
