| | bulging disc, MS, need help!
Newbie here, just happened upon this board, and found others with same problem. I have MS (dx in 97), and have recently found out that I now have a bulging disc in my neck (C5-C6). The pain and numbness in my right shoulder blade area and down my right arm is overwhelming. My neurologist intially started treatment as though I was having a flare-up, but after the MRI discovered the bulging disc. The disc is no doubt pressing on a nerve, and even though the underside of my arm is numb from my armpit to my fingers, I am in incredible pain. I had an epidural steroid injection on Monday, and it hasn't made any difference at all, as of yet. I'm living on pain meds and muscle relaxers for now, and am unable to work or go about my usual routine. I spoke with my neurologist's office again today, and his nurse said that most likely another steroid injection would be done before exploring any other options. I don't know what to do....this pain is making me crazy. I've even gone to a chiropractor this week, searching for relief...to no avail I might add. Any advice or personal stories similar to mine are greatly appreciated!!
