Hi.. As you may be aware from my other slightly manic sounding posts I am terrified that I may have MS. I am an 18 year old female and have been experiencing mysterious symptoms of severe muscle weakness in my legs. Note, there is no feeling of 'numbness' that some describe. Additionally when I thought the weakness was coming on today I realised that I could kick my legs up to my bum, which helped me to walk normaly again.
I experienced an episode of not being able to walk for about 10 hours. I am very scared, I want reassurance but I am fearing that I may have MS.
Numbness and weakness may come separately or together. When my left leg was bad, I had pain from my back to just above my knee; weakness from hip to foot; and numbness from just above the knee to my foot.
On those occasions when you have weakness and/or numbness, you might try ice packs or cold compresses.

I answered on your other posting. A clear MRI can mean that not enough time has elapsed to allow lesions to be seen. It only takes a single lesion to cause problems. Lesions are very small and until more present, your MRI may continue to show clear. You need to repeat the MRI every 6 months.
