Is Eye Twitching MS related?

My eye is twitching below the eye brow daily. Is this MS related? If so, is it caused by demyelination?

Re: Is Eye Twitching MS related?

It may or may not be. I have twitching which is MS and those which are not MS. My right eye twitches due to the light sensitivity.

To know if your twitching is MS you would have to have a neuro evaluate your situation.

Re: Is Eye Twitching MS related?

I've noticed my eye twitching a lot lately, too, but I know that it twitched sometimes even before MS - probably due to stress. I like to think that I'm just searching for symptoms now that I have the official diagnosis. I'm probably just twitching because I'm frazzled by my kids!

An excellent observation by SassyBrass. Stress can have many indicating signs and eye twitching could be a harbinger of an impending concern. Stress is something MSers need to be on guard to stop or avoid. Increased bladder or bowel movements can be a stress indicator. I know for me bladder or slurred speech means I need to take a break and have some solitary time to mellow out.

You might look into your life and find stress which you can eliminate. There are stress tests which rank different life events by the amount of stress they have. You might use such a list to find stress that you can eliminate or avoid in your life.
