Hi everyone. I have been having health issues for some time. Like 8 years! A rheumy recently told me he thought Fibro but i'm just not sold on it. Partly because i'm not sold on this rheumy. He is my second and seems to just push every new symptom under the fibro rug and hands me more RX and shoves me out the door and says i'll see you in 6 months. I am only 37 yrs old and i take around 17 pills a day. I see my pcp at the end of the month to discuss all of this, including my new syptoms which are the following.

numbess and tingling in hands and feet and more recently cheeks, nose and lips
arms and legs seem to fall asleep rather easily. Sometimes they just feel like dead weight. No feeling at all.
Buzzing sensations like i have a cell phone in a pocket or something
EXTREME fatigue
sometimes feel like i walk different or as if i couldn't walk a straight line if i tried
Lack of strength and muscle fatigue like i've worked out but haven't
Cannot tolerate heat
chest discomfort like a heaviness or fullness
Feel the need to pee, but have to sit there for a bit til i can go. When i finally do start going my stream will stop and i have to push to finish.
Shocking sensation down one side of my neck. has only happened 2 or 3 times but i could have swore someone shot me. Not only the shocking part, but like i had been hit. I've instantly grabbed my neck and yelled out in pain. Only lasted a split second. As quick and is came, it was gone.

Today i felt very disoriented at times and my muscle fatigue and tiredness seemed worse. Just walking up my steps made my muscles scream with fatigue and tiredness.

Not sure if any of these symptoms make sense but thought i'd list as many as i could in case they ring a bell with anyone.

I'm just so tired of not having any answers, and i want the old me back. I always feel like crap, and never want to do anything anymore. I just sit at home and watch tv. Don't even have the strength and am too tired to get up and shower and wash my hair and make myself look presentable. Just sucks! I use to be a very social person and now i can't stand people and just plain irritable and just ****** off. I want me back!

Welcome to the MS Boards.

I would tend to agree with you regarding the "fibro rug". Medicated and overmedicated can add to side effects which can also present with varying symptoms. I would encourage you to see an MS Specialist. Perhaps your PCP can help. You need not worry about MS up front because the MS Specialist will sort through many disease possibilities and can point you to a specialist if something other than MS is determined.

You can get back to "you" more easily when you have answers.

I agree that it could be some of your medications or a number of other things. Numbness and tingling in MS tend to be on one side of the body at a time (at least in the beginning stages), for instance...tingling or numb left leg from calf to top of foot or just bottom of foot, or tingling in the arm that only includes a few fingers (they are on separate nerves). Tingling in the face at the same time is more worrisome. You should see a neurologist to have a full workup. Many things can case this but their exam can give them more specifics as to whether it is related to the central nervous system or not. I used to be a nurse, but I am not a doctor. You need to see a neurologist and just get checked out. You will feel better about it.
