Just wondering if the ms hug as its called can be experienced in other conditions as well or is it only felt in ms.
Just a thought,i am not dx yet

I think that you will find that the MS Hug is a "visitor" that will cycle through. That said, however, I would always see a doctor to make sure that you are not having any cardiac issues.

Due to the reason that the "hug" can also be an early sign of ALS, doctors will (should) test for ALS at the earliest. I know I asked this of my neuro and she told me that they test for ALS at the first appointment. If not ALS nor a cardiac event, then the direction would point towards MS.

All of the diseases which present with a tightening of the chest or constriction of the chest can be ruled out with tests.....if you are being tested for MS, then there has to be alot more of a reason than the "hug".

If you suspect that MS isnt the culprit, then your doctor should be running the gauntlet of tests which have specific results....then, youll know if there is something else you should be concerned about.

You stated you arent dx yet. Im assuming there are reasons why you think you might have MS? Dont base it on just having chest constrictions...
