I just got diagnosed with bethlem myopathy a few weeks ago.
Anyway, as far as your question is concerned, I inherited this from my father. I have a brother and he has it as well. My dad said that when him and my mom were looking into getting pregnant that Dr's were saying that it would be a 50/50 chance. It turned out to be 100% in me and my brothers case. I have read that if you have a really mild case of it that it could be the 50/50 situation more likely. I have decided not to have kids naturally. Me and my girl are likely interested in adopting.
