Preliminary diagnosis.
Limb Girdle MD, I was just wanting some general info. After losing 21 lbs of muscle mass, neurologist has given this as probable cause. Also included so far were nerve conduction study and electromyography. Due to brain aneurysm and staples in head MRI seem to be out of question. Needed to ask if arm and shoulder strength and pain were normal in the progression of this disease. Please general info only. Thank you

My husband was just given the same diagnosis, and yes, shoulder pain and weakness is associated with LGMD

Thank you very much for your response, I have had a further diagnosis of arthritic buildup on discs of upper disks causing pinched nerves and damage resulting in the loss of approximately 50% of the use of my arms. Nice to heard the feedback and that is why I have joined this group.
