I need everyones help. My wife has recently been through the EEG and the biopsy. She got back from the doctor and called me and told me the doctor said her test are inconclusive but that he feels she still may have it. He is now calling it Hereditary progressive MD. I asked he did he diagnose you with it and she said no. I told her its time to start getting in shape, building muscles and getting in shape and getting past these fatigue like symptoms. She said the Dr feels she still may have it though. Thus letting her brain believe she still does. After a long conversation I get home from work and now she magically has a paper with a diagnosis on it. Things just dont add up. She has NO family history of it so whats your thoughts?
Re: Husband of a wife that is convinced she has it
Some forms of MD are recessive, that is, you can get it even if neither parent has it.
For now, you don't know one way or another what's going on. I doubt she does, either. Give her space, see what happens. Help her if she needs help. Go with her to her next doctor's appointment if possible.
