Dermatomyositis Question - new diagnosis - Myositis Message Board

I was diagnoised 4 hours agao with Lupus (skin). After several years with a dermatologist and nothing really making the rash and bumps on my hands go away they sent me to a RA doctor. All of blood tests for organs were oaky and because he saw my frustration, he sent me to another dermatologist that specializes in Lupus.

After 3 hours in office, several questions and waiting for biopsy done 4 years ago on bump on finger, he said it was dermatomyositis.

I have had so many problems over the past years that I am now wondering if they could be related. The joint pains are never really explained as well as going through periods of being so tired I can't hardly stand it.

Anybody that can give me information on what I may expect.

all those symptoms are related to dermatomyositis

I have only been on the boards a couple of days and I have been reading problems others are having. I have always had problems with my feet; however, I get bad muscle spasms in them when they are cold. I hate cold weather. I have been exercising (riding a stationary bike) and they seem to be better. Is this associated or just another problem?
