gamma globulin infusion

is there a potential fluid overload in patient 90 years old who will receive gamma globulin infusion,since it is also almost like blood transfusion,only t is a plasma protein part but still fluid going into the circulation?

There is in anyone. That is why, for the amounts normally given for dermatomyositis, they do it over 2 days, taking 4 to 6 hours each day.

The doctor should give the nurse instructions on the amount to be infused, what rate, and over how many days, and these instructions should reflect the patient's medical status, including age and other conditions.
