I had this when I was a child. I would like to know if this can cause trouble in later years and muscle pain, and that meds and stretching don't seem to help. The more activity the less moving and mor pain I have. This problem is in my low back and hips and legs. Thanks for any info.

You would be wise to use Google.com and search for the disease. No doubt you will find many sites discussing it.

I am just passing by searching for info on another muscle problem, Myositis.

If you are taking a cholesterol lowering drug, you need to have the CPK enzyme test to determin if you have muscle inflammation or muscle damage as a result of the med. My husband has been taking "Zocor" and now has a problem with his right leg as a result. He took Zocor for 1 year, had right arm hurt, whent off Zocor for a while, went back on, arm hurt, went off again and then his leg started hurting and weak.

The statin drugs have serious side effects.
