Question Ever stopped a flare-up with methotrexate?
Has anyone ever successfully stopped a flare-up with methotrexate only? I had a dm flare(CK around 200) while on 10 mg/week of methotrexate and no prednisone. My rheumi wants to increase methotrexate to 20 mg/wk and no prednisone. Just wondering if this has ever worked for anyone without the prednisone to start off? Thanks.

Yes I used 25mg for 2 years and is working very good for my DM

Thank-you for responding. So you don't take any prednisone? Also, do you remember how long it took for your symptoms to subside once you started the methotrexate? I'm still waiting-it's been a few weeks.
Thanks for your input, it helps to hear from others who are going through the same thing.
