Re: Any info on Interstitial Myositis

I googled it and what came up was hard to understand. I was diagnosed with PM in 2008. My CPK was 6900, they are now 423. I take methotrexate once a week (8@2.5mg). I am also trying 500mg of zithromax once a week. I feel pretty good but am tired a lot. I can still do a lot of things such as gardening
but it is harder at times. I have no muscle pain at all. Do you go to a rhemotologist? it did say that it was very rare but then they PM is!

Re: Any info on Interstitial Myositis

Hi
Sorry to hear you have the same condition I have. I have found little information about Interstitial Myositis other than it is an auto immune disorder and our bodies attack our muscles as it thinks it is foreign. I don't know about you but I have extreme muscle pain and weakness. I use a wheelchair and mobility scooter when I need to walk more than 10mins. Nice to know there is someone else out there in cyberspace.
Keep in touch

Re: Any info on Interstitial Myositis

Hi
I chose not to go to a Rheumatologist as my Neurologist is looking after me and the other one is too expensive and probably treat me the same. I have my Neurologist doing research to help try to find something to help with my pain.
