new myositis, localized common?

I just recently have had elevated CK's and apparent myositis from lupus. Now I have herendous pain in my upper back and shoulders for no obvious reason and it feels like inflammation in my bursae along scapula. I always thought myositis was more generalized. Is localized myositis common? This has been going on for 5 days and I can't get any relief and can barely stand it.

Can you stretch? If massage might help, try taking a tennis ball and standing with your back to the wall. Squeezing the tennis ball between you and the wall will massage those muscles.

Of course, if it is inflammation rather than normal soreness or knots, this won't help much.
