| injury to nail/fingertip
About a month ago, I slammed my index finger in my car door, resulting in a subungual hematoma of about 50 % of my nail. Per x-ray, the bone wasn't broken. The tip of this finger is now crooked - from the top knuckle to the very tip, the finger is turned to the right. I guess this doesn't bother me too much, but what does concern me is the fact this section of my finger is still swollen, the very tip is still numb and the color of the tip (palm side of finger) is more yellow than the rest of my fingers (I assume poor curculation). I also noticed, about two days ago, the skin at the cuticle has receeded some. Does anyone know if these issues are cause for alarm at this time? Thank you.
