Could you elaborate on what issues you have had with you clients with hypothyroidism? Do I have any hope of keeping nails?

I only had one client with thyroid problems. The problem exists whether you are hypo or hyper thyroid. What happens is that the nail plate does not contain the proper levels of amino acids, natural oils and moisture, etc., due to the medications and the thyroid issue. If the nail plate is lacking in any vital nutrient, the molecular makeup of the nail plate becomes incompatible with the primer molecules and the proper chemical adhesion cannot occur. If the primer cannot properly bond with the nail plate, the product cannot properly bond with the primer to create a chemical attraction between the two (the nail and the primer). You can check out my website for more information on nail anatomy and product chemistry: www.hooked-on-nails.com (link approved by Moderator 1). Click on the 'chemistry' link. the information was provided by permission of Doug Schoon, VP or Research and Development for Creative Nail Design Systems and a good friend and mentor of mine.
As long as you have the thyroid problem, you will have lifting problems with any type of nail enhancement.
