my nails all of the sudden lifted and are concave what is this? - Nail Problems Message Board

could someone tell me what this could be, first of all i am hard on my hands , i am an animal trainer so i dont have the nice nails , accually i have the hands of a construction worker, i am a female, any way my nails all the sudden lifted from the bed, turned white and went concave, i happened just now, thank you kim

If they are white where the nail plate has separated from the nail bed, then there is a HUGE chance you have contracted a yeast (candida) infection between the nail plate adn the nail bed. This doesn't happen "all of a sudden", but takes a while for the infection to be noticed and for the nails to separate. You could very well have contracted this from your work. I would see your physician or dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and prescription.
