Olive oil is good for just about any type of 'lubrication' but the molecular structure is way too large to penetrate the skin and doesn't have any type of moisturizing or conditioning properties. Vitamin E also has a very large molecular structure and can do no more than sit on the surface of the skin. If one wants to condition, moisturize and heal the skin and nails, one needs to use an oil that contains jojoba and vitamin E in the mixture. I have been using this mixture of oils since the middle 70's and have excellent skin and nails. One can even apply it to the hair if their hair is dry or chemically burned from perms, color or bleach.
