Because it is on the side of the nail, could it still be a fungus??
If so, what can I do about it?
If it is not, what is it???
Can anyone help?? |
It can be one of two things; either a hematoma (bruise) or a Pseudomonas Bacterial infection. If the spot is black but not sore, did it start as a greenish spot and slowly turn black? Did you stub your toenail and quite possibly cause a hematoma?
If it is a bacterial infection, you may need to go to your doctor and get a prescription. Pseudomonas will spread to encompass the entire nail which will cause the nail to separate from the nail bed adn can spread to encompass the entire nail.
