Beautifull nails but they keep breaking - Nail Problems Message Board

Hi I am new

I am in need of some nail advice
It took me forever to stop biting my nails but I finally did.
Now that my nails have been growing back and I realize that I actually have really nice nails.
I have been using strengthener on them for a while now and havent bitten for almost 6 months.
They just keep on breaking! (just when I get them looking great too)
Any sugestions would be appreciated

Nail strengtheners contain 2% formaldehyde. The formaldehyde dries out the nail plate so they appear stronger, but in fact will make the nails more prone to breakage. Nail strengtheners should only be used for 3 months, then discontinue use for at least 3 months. If you see after the second three months that the nails have become weak again, then use the strengthener for 3 months and discontinue.

Keep the nails hydrated by twice daily applications of a good wuality nail and cuticle oil such as Solar Oil or Botanical Oil. solar oil is available in fine nail salons and Ulta Cosmetic outlets nationwide. Botanical Oil is available in the nail department of Sally Beauty Supply nationwide. Both oils will replenish the depleated oil levels from the nail strengthener or from having your hands in water a lot as well as to condition and moisturize the nails and cuticles.
