Over The Past Week I Have Noticed A Dark Line On My Big Toenail With A Dark Spot On The Side/bottom Of My Toe. It Is Scaring Me To Death And Any Help Would Be Great In Reference To It. And No The Spot Did Not Change Colors From Green To Dark So We Can Rule Out That One Condition. I Also Have A Dark Spot Under My Thumbnail On The Same Side Of My Body As The One On My Toe(left). This Spot Takes On No Apparent Shape And Is A Dark Brown Color As Well. Please Help With This!

The Line In My Big Toe Is Getting Longer Now, More Than Half The Lenght Of My Toe. Someone Please Help Me Out With This

If the line is running vertical from the cuticle to the free edge, you should seriously have this checked our by your doctor. You could very well have a melanoma growing in the nail root that needs to be surgically removed. Melanoma can be benighn or malignant, so this could very well be serious.

The Line Does Not Start At The Cuticle Though, Does That Make Any Difference It Starts About Halfway Up. And What About The Dark Spot On My Thumbnail, Any Ideas For That One??? You Help Is Great And I Appreciate All Of It.

How wide and how long is this line? Does it look like a splinter is under there? If it does, you may have injured the nail and the result is that blood filled up in one tiny spot. Is the dark spot under your toe sore? It just might be a bruise.
