I have eczema on my feet, and would like to try soaking them in water with tea tree oil.
However, I've just had about 1 third of the nail on my big toe removed because of toe nail fungus.

I'm using a nail paint the dr prescribed which contains tioconazole.
- an antifungal.

My first question is--- if I soak my feet in water with tea tree oil, am I putting my other toenails at risk of getting the fungal infection?

My second question is: if it is possible that I could have picked up this infection at the gym, what kind of precautions do I have to worry about at home to be sure that no one else picks this up from me?
