Stop fingernail growth
I crushed two fingers in an accident and the doctor cut back on the fingers far enough to stop the nails from growing or so we thought. Both fingers have small pieces of nail growing and I was wondering if there was anything to stop the nail from growing short of surgery

Surgery is your only option to totally kill the nail root. The root lies deep under the skin and goes all the way back to the first knuckle on most fingers.
