It totally depends on the type of damage to the nail or if it has been surgicaly removed. Toenails grow much slower than fingernaisl, so expect at least a full year for the nail to be replaced from the cuticle to the free edge. Fingernails can replace themselves in 3-6 months depending on the length of the nail bed and your genetics for nail growth.
