Yellow toenails from dark nail polish - Nail Problems Message Board

Does anyone have an at home remedy for yellowed nails due to dark nail polish? I removed my polish about a month ago, and the yellow color is driving me nuts.

The stain is only on the immediate surface of the nail plate. YOu can get a 3-way buffer from your local Sally Beauty Supply. Buff the surface with first the black side, then the white side, then high shine with the gray side. Always apply a good quality base coat before applying the color and follow with a good quality top coat.

This happens to me as well, I keep my toe nails painted all year long. I use a top coat first and my nails still turn yellow. I think that alot of it depends on the color of the polish that you use.
