my nails are like cracking on top of the skin - Nail Problems Message Board

The nails on most of all of my fingers are like chipping/cracking like on top of the part that is on top of the skin. It seems to be getting worse too, like example if i left it alone, it might go all the way down to my cuticles! And they hurt so bad! One or two have bled like maybe once. I did have acrylic nails on prior to this happening, but i've also been getting acrylic nails on and off for years. I can't exactly afford a doctor to check it out right now, unless its like severly serious... Any imput, please?

Go to your local Sally Beauty Supply and purchase a 3-way buffer and a bottle of Botanical Oil. Use the buffer to buff away the splitting, peeling portion and then re-hydrate with the oil. To buff the nails, use forst the black side, then the white side, then buff to a high shine with the gray side.

When nails become dried out, they will split and peel like you are describing.
