Re: how to cure split fingernails

My nails got very strong when I started taking a daily multivitamin but of course that took months as nails grow slow. And had to stop wearing nail polish or any fake nails. That was the only thing i have found that helped my weak and flaking nails.

Re: how to cure split fingernails

It depends on how they are splitting and why. Do you use strong solvents such as household cleaning solutions without gloves? Are your hands in water a lot? Are your nails naturally thin and weak? Where and how are they splitting? Vertical or horizontal? A little more info would be helpful.

Hi Marti

I realise this is awhile ago, but I just found this board while googling for an answer to the same question.

My partner has a thumbnail that originally split vertically while doing some outdoor work. It will eventually grow out, but then after about 6 months it will split again, and you can see the fault line even when it's not splitting. Can you help me find a solution for her please? Thanks
