Nails have become "soft" and break at tips. - Nail Problems Message Board

I've always had healthy nails. But recently I've noticed "white" dry patches on only a select few and now some of the nails have become "softer" than normal and will break once they begin to grow.

Before I go to a dermatoligist I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this and had any insight to what's happened?

Did the white patches start out as tiny pin dot depressions in the nail plate, then turn white and flaky? If so, ou may be developing nail psoriasis. A visit to your dermatologit is in order.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I do believe they were little dots first. Now they're white and just look very "dry". I do believe a trip to the doctor is in order.
