black spot on toe nail - Nail Problems Message Board

took of my nail varnish after wearing it for a couple of weeks and notice a black spot with a yellowish under tone. it is not painful and i haven't dropped anything on it. Please help i'm very worried.

Me too! The exact same thing happened to me. I live on a college campus so I'm worried its a fungus. I read another post that said she had the exact same thing and the doctor looked at it and said it was a fungus. Im so scared because my foot is numb and Im in band! I don't know what to do. The Student Health Center here is not known for helping very much but Im going to give it a try this morning. I'll let you know what they say.

The doctor said it was a hematoba..or something like that. He said i had been wearing tight shoes..ha false alarm!
